How We Evaluate Masks
Make sure any mask you wear meets the CDC's recommended guidelines. A good mask should completely cover your nose and mouth, use at least two layers of fabric, and be washable without damage. When evaluating masks, we actually wear them in our daily lives.
I also used a light test and a candle test. For maximum effectiveness, the mask's weave should be tight enough to not allow light to pass through and thick enough to prevent you from blowing out candles while wearing the mask.
