How to remove face mask

Before touching the mask, clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer. Avoid touching the front of the mask. Avoid touching the front of the mask because the front of the mask has been contaminated. Touch only the earrings/tie/band. Follow the instructions below depending on the type of mask you are using.

Face mask with earrings. Grasp both earrings, gently lift and remove the mask.

 


Mask with straps Untie the bow at the bottom, then the bow at the top, and pull the mask away from you as the straps are released.

Mask with straps. Hold the bottom strap over your head first, then pull the top strap over your head.

Throw the mask in the trash. Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer.
