Use of the FFP3 mask

 

The outer layer of the FFP3 category mask tends to accumulate a lot of dust and bacteria from the outside air, while the inner layer blocks exhaled bacteria and saliva, so the two sides should not be used interchangeably, otherwise the dirt contaminated by the outer layer will be inhaled when directly pressed against the face, and become a source of infection.

When the mask is not worn, it should be folded into a clean envelope with the side that fits closely to the nose and mouth folded inward.

If the FFP3 mask gets wet from exhaled hot air or saliva, its effectiveness as a barrier to germs is greatly reduced. Therefore, it is always a good idea to have a few masks on hand for replacement.
