Testing equipment for FFP3 masks

For FFP3 type masks, both European and US standards are specified with US TSI-8130 Automated Filter Testers for testing.The NaCl method is used for US standard N, the DOP method is used for R, and the DOP method is used for European standards.



The TSI-8130 instrument uses NaCl method: the instrument can automatically produce salt particles with an average diameter of 0.2μm (0.26μm for aggregated average diameter, 0.07μm for arithmetic average diameter) and pass through the specimen at a certain flow rate.

For the DOP method, DOP oil was used to generate dust, and the DOP oil particle diameter was 0.33 μm for aggregated average particle size and 0.20 μm for counted average diameter.
